Terms of Service
Last updated: March 23, 2026
Welcome to Scalebit. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Scalebit platform, website, and services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Scalebit (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account Registration
To use Scalebit, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of the business you register.
2. Service Description
Scalebit provides AI-powered daily profit and loss intelligence for restaurants. The Service connects to your point-of-sale system (Square, Toast, or Clover), analyzes transaction data, and provides financial insights including daily P&L calculations, menu profitability analysis, cost anomaly detection, and AI-generated recommendations. All calculations are estimates based on the data available and industry benchmarks.
3. Subscription and Payment
A paid subscription is required to use the Service. Subscriptions are billed monthly via our payment partner, Paddle.com, who acts as our Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all charges — see our Refund Policy for details.
4. Pricing
- Starter Plan: $99 per month per location
- Growth Plan: $79 per month per location (3+ locations)
Prices are in US Dollars. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
5. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Scalebit, you grant us permission to access your POS data through authorized API connections (e.g., Square, Toast, or Clover OAuth) for the sole purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: reverse engineering the software, using the Service for any unlawful purpose, attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, or interfering with the Service's infrastructure.
7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Scalebit uses artificial intelligence to generate financial insights, recommendations, and reports. These are provided as guidance only and should not be considered professional financial, accounting, or legal advice. AI-generated calculations may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying all information before making business decisions. We recommend consulting with a qualified accountant for formal financial reporting.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scalebit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using the account deletion option in settings.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Fulton County, Georgia.
